Promulgation of the Green Industry Law (France) – CARBON Reacts

CARBON celebrates the enactment of the Green Industry Law by the President of the Republic, following its approval by the National Assembly and the Senate.

The industrial company appreciates the relative consensus and spirit of compromise that guided the work and debate surrounding this legislation, which includes common-sense measures with a positive impact on our industry. This sends a positive signal to industrial players committed to ecological transformation and decarbonization.

This law marks significant milestones in favor of responsible and sustainable reindustrialization in France, including:

Simplification of procedures for the assessment and public consultation on green industry projects, which will reduce indsutrial project timelines;
Utilization of public procurement and regulated markets to promote ‘made in France,’ through the implementation of qualitative, social, and environmental criteria in tenders and public contracts.

This proactive policy must continue in France and across Europe. It is crucial for our collective ability to address three major challenges: ecological transition, economic sovereignty, and energy independence. CARBON is keen to actively contribute to these efforts.
