Looking Back at the Energaïa Forum 2024

The Energaïa Forum 2024 was a key moment for CARBON, bringing together experts and stakeholders in the energy transition for inspiring discussions. Here’s a recap of these two enriching days focused on the future of the European photovoltaic sector.

Two Days of Engagement

For two days, CARBON’s booth was a hub for dialogue and exchange. Our team members—Étienne Roche, Baptiste Cotte, and Raffaella Giardino—were present to welcome visitors and share CARBON’s vision: building the most ambitious project in Europe for revitalizing the photovoltaic sector.

Participants had the opportunity to discuss with our team the challenges and opportunities of reindustrialization, as well as our commitment to sustainable and competitive solar panel production.

Key Highlights

The Forum was also marked by two impactful interventions:

  1. Eco-Design and Recycling at the Heart of Renewable Energy
During the roundtable discussion, “Renewables: Eco-Design and Recycling to Produce New Equipment, a French and European Industrial Challenge,” Raffaella Giardino, CARBON’s Product and Innovation Director, highlighted the company’s efforts to incorporate eco-design into its processes. She exchanged ideas with industry leaders including (SESA), Nouha Gazbour (INES – CEA), Aymeric Cenes (Envie Occitanie), Antoine Chalaux (ROSI), and Juan Alzate (Soren).
  2. Reindustrialization for the Energy Transition
Pierre-Emmanuel Martin, President of CARBON, participated in a discussion on reindustrialization in Europe. He emphasized the urgency of strengthening industrial sovereignty in the photovoltaic sector. Joining him were Gaëtan Masson (Becquerel Institute/ESMC), Lucas Weiss (VOLTEC SOLAR), and Jérémy Simon (SER), as they shared a vision for a sovereign and innovative European solar industry.

CARBON extends heartfelt thanks to all the visitors who came to learn about our project and to the organizers of the Energaïa Forum for making this event a success.
