Pierre-Emmanuel Martin

Co-Founder and President of CARBON

With 30 years of experience and entrepreneurship in the energy sector, Pierre-Emmanuel Martin has a strong background. He previously served as Deputy Director of Observ’ER, General Manager of ERELIS, and then General Manager of ENEL Green Power in France, becoming a specialist in renewable energies, particularly solar, with a strong commitment to local communities. In 2009, he founded and currently chairs Terre et Lac Group, an independent solar electricity producer (general contractor and PV plant operator) experiencing significant growth. He is also the founding president of My Energy Manager, a company focused on energy intelligence to reduce final electricity consumption. Co-founder of AuRa Digital Solaire, he also serves as Vice-President of ENERPLAN.

Laurent Pelissier

Partner and Vice-Chairman of the Board

Laurent Pelissier has been a committed player in the industry and energy sector for over 25 years. He is the CEO of ECM Group, a mid-cap company specialized in the design and manufacturing of industrial furnaces and equipment, particularly for the energy sector (nuclear, photovoltaics, etc.), founded in 1928. ECM conducts most of its business internationally, with a presence in various geographical areas, including Asia and the United States.

Nicolas Chandellier

Managing Director

Graduated from INSA Lyon, Nicolas Chandellier progressed for 32 years within Becton Dickinson, a leading global medical technology company. In his various roles, the most recent being those of World Vice-President and Managing Director, he notably developed the company’s operational and growth strategies. He also led the construction and launch of a new greenfield factory in Hungary. He brings to CARBON his strategic vision, his experience of international management and his expertise regarding major industrial projects.

Sylvain Jonot

Graduated from the Burgundy School of Business, Sylvain Jonot has held various positions in the finance divisions of the Valeo group, in Europe and the United States, until becoming in 2014 the Financial Director of the clutch systems product group (20 sites, 10,000 employees, €2bn turnover). From 2017, he took over general management of production sites, first in Spain (400 employees), then in France (700 employees). He brings to CARBON his strong industry experience and his financial expertise.

Étienne Roche

Commitment and Influence Director

With a Master Degree in Public Law (Lyon 2 University) and another in International Relations (Lyon 3 University), and having beign trained in management, communications and project management, Étienne Roche first had an entrepreneurial adventure in the field of web design and communication. He then was a political collaborator in local authorities, in particular as Advisor to the Mayor of Lyon and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Metropolis of Lyon. He joined Pierre-Emmanuel Martin as Chief of Staff in 2022 to support him with all of his companies. He brings to CARBON his good knowledge of executive coaching, 360° communication, public affairs and institutional relations.

Cécile Grenard

Purchasing Director

Cécile Grenard has over 20 years of experience in procurement strategy, sourcing, and supply chain, working for various major industrial groups such as BMW, ALSTOM, CLARIANT, and RMMV. Holding an MBA in legal intelligence (Ecole de Guerre Economique), Cécile has pursued several additional courses to master all aspects of compliance (Diploma in AI and artificial intelligence, Master IFEE). She brings to CARBON her expertise in procurement and supply chain strategies, as well as her deep understanding of the legal and economic security issues facing businesses.

Laurent Vergely

Industrial Operations Director

After a PhD in Automation/Robotics in 1989, Laurent Vergely joined the IT Strategy Department of the PSA Group. He evolved within the group, gradually taking over BUs, before becoming a Factory Director (3600 people) in Aulnay-sous-Bois in 2009. From 2013, he launched and managed he first industrial hub of the Lorraine region (2 mechanical plants, 6,000 employees). In 2017, he joined AIRBUS Helicopters as the Industrial Director of the Marignane production site, where he managed 4 BUs and 12,000 people on 80 ha. He brings to CARBON his expertise in the management of large industrial sites management, of operational performance, and of crisis and change management.

Raffaella Giardino

Product and Innovation Director

With a PhD from the University of Milan and an MBA from emlyon Business School, Raffaella Giardino previously served as Vice-President and director of a business unit at bioMérieux, a French pharmaceutical group. She also worked as Director of Commercial Operations for Microbiologics, an American biotech company. She brings to CARBON her recognized experience in management, process, diagnostics, and quality control.

Jérôme Marchais

Construction and Project Coordination Director

Graduated as a civil engineer in 1996, Jérôme Marchais worked for the Ministry of the Armed Forces, then in retail before working for general contractors. He spent a significant part of his career at GSE, based in France and then in various countries (England, Hungary, Algeria, Morocco, China, Romania, Poland) as Country Manager or Technical Director. In 2016, he joined Exyte to work on the ITER nuclear fusion project at Cadarache (management of a €900M+ project) in a joint venture with Engie. He returned to GSE in 2020 to create and develop the Industry division in Europe. He brings to CARBON his expertise in the management of XXL industrial projects.

Wouter Ooghe

Process and Equipment Director

With a Master degree of Engineering from the University of Ghent (Belgium), Wouter Ooghe has over 20 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing for companies such as Alcatel Micro-electronics and AMI. He was also the General Manager of the ON Semiconductor plant in Malaysia. In 2017, Wouter ventured into the Solar industry where he became the General Manager of SunPower/Maxeon in Malaysia. This position led him to manage 2 photovoltaic cell manufacturing units and one solar module manufacturing unit, and to leading their growth to 1.8 GW production capacity. He brings to CARBON his good knowledge of the photovoltaic manufacturing value chain, especially processes, equipment and maintenance.

Wouter Ooghe

Émilie Chalas

Projects manager

Graduated in sociology and urbanism (Université Grenoble Alpes), Émilie Chalas first worked in an urban planning agency before joining a local authority as a director of planning and environment, where she evolved to become the town services general manager. Member of the French Parliament for one term, she is currently a local elected representative. She brings to CARBON her knowledge of land and urban planning and her ability to manage cross-cutting projects.

Baptiste Cotte

Sales Development Manager

Graduated from a leading business school (ESCP) with a major in corporate finance, Baptiste Cotte is also pursuing a course at Polytechnique Executive Education “Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energies.” Baptiste initially worked as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas before continuing his career at L’Eau Vive, a specialist in organic products. Starting as a network development manager, then as a franchise, trade, and marketing director, he became the CEO of the Group in 2021 (€130M in revenue under the brand with 70 stores). He brings to CARBON his skills in distribution and marketing as well as his knowledge of business development.

Kevin Teixeira Pontes

Policy and Communications Officer

Graduated in history, political science and public law, Kevin Teixeira Pontes has held various positions as a communications officer and editor for local authorities, before becoming a political collaborator to the Mayor of Dijon and then to a French Member of Parliament. In 2020, he joined Boury, Tallon & Associés as a senior public affairs consultant where he worked for a number of large companies. He brings to CARBON his knowledge of communication, of the mechanisms of public decision-making and influence.
