CARBON Announces Launch of Public Consultation for its Fos-sur-Mer Gigafactory Project
On August 31, 2023, CARBON hosted a gathering of journalists and institutional representatives at the Maison de la Mer et du Sport in Fos-sur-Mer to unveil the initiation of the public consultation process for its photovoltaic gigafactory at the Grand Port of Marseille-Fos.
During the event, President Pierre-Emmanuel Martin and RTE Méditerranée Delegate Gilles Odone presented project details. The 2concert consultancy team, represented by Ana Mylonas and Kasia Czora, explained the issues and consultation process, alongside Vincent Delcroix, one of the guarantors from the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP).
Several local stakeholders provided their insights and institutional support during the press conference:

Details of CARBON’s Public Consultation Process
This public consultation marks the initial regulatory step toward the construction of the photovoltaic gigafactory in Fos-sur-Mer. It is a vital phase for CARBON’s ambitious project, developed over the past year and a half.
The consultation aims to inform and engage the public in CARBON’s industrial project. It will take place from September 11 to October 30, 2023. Six public meetings will be organized in Bouches du Rhône to discuss the project’s feasibility, objectives, and key features.
