This crucial step provided an opportunity to discuss the project&#8217;s feasibility, objectives, and key features with citizens and all stakeholders in the region.<\/p>\n<h2>A Public Consultation Promoting Information and Public Participation<\/h2>\n<p>Since September 11, <a href=\"https:\/\/carbon-solar.com\/en\/\">CARBON<\/a> and RTE have successfully conducted this prior consultation, overseen by the Commission nationale du D\u00e9bat Public (CNDP\u00a0; French National Public Debate Commission). The goal of the initiative was to facilitate discussions about CARBON&#8217;s project in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fossurmer.fr\/\">Fos-sur-Mer<\/a>, within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marseille-port.fr\/\">Grand Port Maritime de Marseille<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maregionsud.fr\/\">R\u00e9gion Sud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During this period, six public meetings were organized, engaging over 600 participants. Following an initial consultation phase, four thematic meetings delved into specific topics such as the environment, safety, employment, and territorial integration.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, three mobile debates facilitated interactions with more than 100 citizens..<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concertation-carbon-solar.com\/\">dedicated web platform<\/a> for the consultation process received 74 contributions (opinions, questions, and proposals) and get more than 6,500 visits.<\/p>\n<h2>The Consultation Continues!<\/h2>\n<p>CARBON attaches great importance to collaboratively shaping its project with all local stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The industrial company now enters a phase of continuous consultation leading up to the public inquiry scheduled for 2024, still under the auspices of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debatpublic.fr\/\">CNDP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This continuous consultation will include several public meetings to update stakeholders on the project&#8217;s progress. CARBON plans to organize a public meeting with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rte-france.com\/\">RTE<\/a> to discuss the independent report which is slated for publication by the CNDP guarantors before November 30.
